Urgent Alert: Every Indian Must Rally Behind Persecuted Hindus in Bangladesh – December 2025 Crisis Update

As Christmas Day 2025 unfolds, the harrowing reality facing our Hindu brothers and sisters in Bangladesh cannot be ignored. The brutal lynching of Dipu Chandra Das, a 25-27-year-old Hindu garment worker from Mymensingh’s Baluka area on December 18, has ignited nationwide outrage in India and drawn international condemnation. His body was beaten, tied to a tree, and set ablaze over unsubstantiated blasphemy claims amid workplace tensions. Despite Bangladesh’s interim government under Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus condemning it as a “heinous act” with “no place in the new Bangladesh” and arresting 10-12 suspects, this incident highlights a disturbing pattern of targeted violence against minorities.

This is not an isolated tragedy. Since the political upheaval following Sheikh Hasina’s ouster in August 2024, reports document thousands of attacks on Hindus, Buddhists, and Christians, including temple vandalism, home lootings, and arson. The Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council has recorded over 2,442 incidents of minority violence and more than 150 temples damaged between August 2024 and July 2025. Recent unrest in December 2025, triggered by the death of student leader Sharif Osman Hadi, has seen mobs targeting media offices, cultural sites, and isolated Hindu homes in areas like Chittagong, where families escaped burning houses by inches.

Widespread Solidarity & Protests Across India

The news has sparked massive protests in Indian cities including New Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Jammu, Bhopal, Patna, and Lucknow. Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), Bajrang Dal, BJP leaders, Congress workers, and others have gathered outside the Bangladesh High Commission in Delhi, burning effigies, chanting for justice, and demanding protection for minorities. Leaders like Suvendu Adhikari in West Bengal, Giriraj Singh, and even RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat have urged the Indian government to act decisively through diplomacy and support.

International voices, including US lawmakers like Rep. Suhas Subramanyam and Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi, have condemned the lynching, calling for accountability and minority safeguards. Diplomatic tensions have risen, with mutual envoy summons between India and Bangladesh over protests and security concerns.

Why Every Indian Must Stand United Now

Hindus in Bangladesh, comprising about 8-10% of the population, share deep cultural and historical ties with India. Many trace roots to the 1971 Liberation War, where Indian forces fought alongside Bangladeshis. Ignoring this crisis risks further escalation, forced migration, and erosion of pluralism in the region.

Our dharma and national duty compel action:

  • Amplify the Truth — Share verified stories and demand media coverage.
  • Support Relief — Donate to credible organizations aiding affected Hindu families.
  • Push for Diplomacy — Call on the Indian government to prioritize minority protection in talks with Dhaka.
  • Join Solidarity — Participate in peaceful protests, vigils, and awareness campaigns.

The bond forged in 1971 must now defend innocent lives from mob violence and extremism. Silence is not an option when our own are under threat.

BharatTone.com stands resolute with persecuted Hindus worldwide. Every voice matters in this battle for justice, humanity, and dharma.
